Our Special Shapes Collection extends our use of the
traditional 1-3/8" x 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" unit as the foundation for block
play to sets with a variety of less common shapes, including triangles,
curves, and blocks that naturally "fit together". We've combined a
wide range of block sizes and shapes in these sets, as add some
uniquely Beka ideas for even more fun. As always, each assortment
provides a wide range of building options to children using them.
Choose individual sets or combine multiple sets for even more creative
opportunities.
As block play enthusiasts, we give ourselves permission to experiment with
unconventional ideas....like adding wooden wheels (or maybe they’re legs, or
arms, or wings...) to traditional block shapes.
The result is our line of "Whimsies", or whimsical wheeled
blocks. They become cars, bugs, friendly
animals and more. We named each
"Whimsie" after their traditional block shape name. Needless to say, we had fun in the
process. We hope you have fun, too!
